RANDOM: 09-07/29

As of now, this has been the worst day of my life. Why? Let's just say that I've been stranded somewhere between what's real and not. A lot has happened and I can't seem to take hold of the things around me. Somehow, I felt lost; lost in the randomness that I created. I'm stuck between something I never knew that I could get into. What a mess this is and I don't know how to clean it all up.

To bring someone up, I would like to thank BEA LOURDES MARTINEZ for taking my mind off of things. Without her knowledge of it, she managed to lessen the pain that I felt.

Right now, I'm thinking of counseling as a solution to this problem.

This post is just something I wanted to let out because it has been inside of me for the past weeks. Since my blog title says it all, I know that you would understand why I posted this.

Till my next post! See yah~!

BACK-2-BACK

This entry is a support entry for my previous post entitled "Self Respect and Respect for Others."

BACKstabbing BACKstabbers and BACK-stabbed

There's an emphasis on the BACK because the activity that we did last July 17, 2009 was about backstabbing, backstabbers, and being back-stabbed.

I CAN RELATE LIKE OH SO VERY MUCH~!!!! FINALLY, A TOPIC I WOULD LOVE TO DISCUSS!!! (too bad it wasn't an open forum *sighs* -_-;;)

On with the activity, a piece of paper was placed on our back and what we were going to do was to write stuff on the paper ON THE BACK of the person. So, it was literally what you call BACKSTABBING.

Surprisingly, at the end of the activity when we were all able to look at what other people wrote on our backs, there wasn't any negative trait written on mine. I really didn't what to feel because a part of me was really disappointed because it would mean that I'm already on the safe side and I don't have anything to change but only to improve. I felt disappointed because I remember what my classmate told us during our retreat: "Wag naman puro positive traits ang ilalagay niyo sa susunod kasi paano ko mababago yung mga dapat kung baguhin kung ni-isang negative trait eh wala. Pero nagpapasalamat ako sa mga sinabi o sinulat niyo kasi ganoon yung tingin niyo sa'kin." So? I really agree and I would really like to thank everyone who wrote all those good traits of mine.

Somehow, I really didn't feel relieved or anything after the activity. Sure, it was fun and it lessened the tension between everyone since we got the chance to say, or in this case write, what we have to say to a particular person. After that activity, I really do wish that the people whom I wrote negative traits on would change because I know that when I feel something towards someone, a lot would agree with me. TRUST ME! BEEN THERE AND SO DONE WITH THAT! XD

That's the end of this supporting entry~

VALUES: Self Respect and Respect for Others

Respect me and I'd do the same thing to you.

1. Looking back at the list of your positive characteristics and qualities, what do you feel and realize about it?
Looking back at my list, I feel self-centered claiming those traits but when I read what everyone else thought about me, I felt ecstatic because I never knew that I was that kind of person; the kind of person I really wanted to be. This reminds me of a line I quoted from the movie "What Happens in Vegas" starring Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher. "I tried to change myself to please others but, by pleasing you, I found myself again." A very short line yet very meaningful.

2. The Golden Rule says “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”

a. Given the following situations, how would you like to be treated by your teachers and schoolmates:
- when you have given wrong answers to the questions during recitation:
I would like to be treated fair because, like everybody else, I'm only human who also makes mistakes and gets hurt.
- when you are expressing your opinion during class or group discussion:
I would like them to listen because that would be a sign that the respect whatever I have to say since it is my opinion.
- when you are giving suggestions during group work or presentation:
I would like them to think my suggestion over first before rejecting it because there are numerous possibilities of having a good suggestion especially if it is really good.
- when you commit mistake:
I would like to be treated with respect but of course, laughing or giggling wouldn't be avoided and I would surely understand if they do respond like that.
- when you don’t like doing what they ask you to do:
I would like to be treated nicely and be given another task if I really don't want to do what they're asking me but nevertheless if I'm not the leader, I might as well follow what has instructed of me to do.
- when they want to give you their comments or suggestions:
I would like to be treated anyway they want except for violent actions or anything like that because if this topic regards me then they should really tell me everything they to tell me may it be positive or negative.

b. Considering the given ideas on how to treat others with respect, what can you commit to yourself in terms dealing with the MCL community: teachers, students, employees, security, maintenance/janitors and canteen personnel?
As expected from a well-educated student of Alpha Angelicum Academy, I would treat everyone around me with respect especially those in authority because who am I to disrespect them and besides they're older than me and I should respect them if I want to be treated the same way.

So that ends Self Respect and Respect for Others.
Till my next post! Love y'all~ ♥

VALUES: Values Application

Date/Time: Everyday

Values practiced: Friendship

Story: Well, there really isn't that much to tell because it is practically the same thing. Like what O said before, I'm happy-go-lucky person with an open book for a life with a thick layer for a cover. Friendship happens anywhere, anytime, anyhow, and of course with anyone (this is only me and nobody else but me XD)! hahahaha!

Feelings: Random because friendship is like love, a roller coaster ride of emotions but less complicated.

Learning: Friends are everywhere. They're like diamonds because as the saying goes, "Diamonds are Forever."

Date/Time: Everday

Values practiced: Fun

Story: Since I have a happy-go-lucky personality, fun can't definitely be out of the package! Everyone says I'm fun to be with. Well maybe because I know how to get along with people's "trips" unlike some people I know. I admit that I could be stubborn at times but nevertheless an hour wouldn't pass by in school without me smiling or laughing. Talk about major craziness! XD What the hey! That's what's fun for me and I can't do no nothing about it except for having a DELIGHTFUL time and an ACTION-PACKED day! People involved, anyone! Where? Anywhere!

Feelings: Fun (of course, like DUH)

Learning: Life' s too fun to throw spend being sad and lonely!

Week3: Complete!!!
SUGOI!!!

till next posting!XD

VALUES: Self Evaluation

Self Evaluation

1. How was your first week of stay at MCL? How do you feel about your teachers and schoolmates? How do you find your courses? What sort of adjustment you still have to meet in terms of your academics, emotions, and social involvement?

My first week at MCL didn't really feel that much different from my previous school because I know that the ME who entered MCL is still the ME who studied at AAA. Aside from the new people thing, everything pretty much fell into place once introductions were done.

The courses felt really interesting especially Hum013. There's something in that course that challenges me a lot and that's the part of enhancing my memorization skills. I really have difficulties with memorizing stuff so, gotta improve that~! XD

When it comes to academics, time management would be the best thing that I should practice so that I wouldn't lose track of my goal. Emotions come and go, my life is pretty much an open book that anyone can read but, something behind the covers are not worth looking at because there's what I call my dark side. Social involvement or interaction really isn't a difficult thing to deal with because with my happy-go-lucky personality, I think I can get along well with pretty much everyone but, only one thing gets on my nerves a lot; AIRHEAD SEASON.

2. How would you like your first year in college be? What specifically you have to do to achieve these desires?

I would like my first year of college to be fun and exciting with out losing my scholarship and that's basically part of the challenge I planned to conquer. Friends of course are definitely part of what I expect and recently, a lot of people are friendly even though some are TOTAL AIRHEADS and ABNORMALITES.

Specifically, I would like to achieve better grades so I could maintain my scholarship and push it through the rest of the college life.

Values Week 2: Complete!
SUGOI!!!

Agents of Socialization

Agents of Socialization:
  • Family
  • Peer Groups
  • Mass Media
Where would i benefit more?
Well, family would definitely be on top of the list, followed by peers, and last but definitely not the least, mass media.

Family first because they're the ones who molded me into who I am today. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't be the happy-go-lucky type of person that everyone knows. My parents exposed me to international socialization early! Talk about major english conversations! My parents, aunt, and grandmothers taught to have a wide understandings and to look at a situation in different perspectives. Since my parents left me here in the Philippines to study, I never did rebel against them. Why? Well, it's simply because of the fact that it's a sacrifice for them to work abroad just to satisfy our basic needs. Because they worked abroad, I lived with my aunt and grandmothers' house. They taught how to be independent and how to study on my own. I learned a lot of things from my family and I was able to apply all of them in my social life.

Speaking of social life, this is where peers enter. Well, to have friends means to be able to adapt what's "in" without losing what's more important. They taught how to socialize more. How? Well, since I'm exposed to different people, I would definitely have to understand and be able to see things differently without losing my own perspective because not everyone has the same perspective as I do. Having peers means having better development of understanding and socialization because if you believe that people will change to be friends with you, YOU ARE SO DEFINITELY AND ABSOLUTELY WRONG! Why? Because today's generation involves proper companionship, anyone who is facing difficulties or having trouble with being alone must learn to change his/her attitude.

Lastly, Mass Media. Well, this is just my other way of communicating with friends and family. With mass media, indirect friendship may be formed. How? Through text clans, chat rooms, and many others. This is a bit dangerous so having an indirect connection with someone you don't know that much should be careful.

Overall, the best agent of socialization for me would be my family.

See y'all next time!!!

JERK-A-SAURUS

Hey y'all! Time for a new entry! This time, it ain't any ordinary
entry.

It's about someone by the name JERK-A-SAURUS!

On with the blind item:

What do you call someone who says, "I'm not liable for any file losses
because it's your RESPONSIBILITY as a student to prepare back-up
files for yourself in case something happens."?

What do you call that someone? Definitely a JERK-A-SAURUS but, let's just call him JERK!

Like duh, isn't it HIS RESPONSIBILITY to assure us that our files are safe since he is the moderator/professor of our class.

Why the sudden burst of thought? Well, here's the whole story:

My friend used one of the ----- and as what was instructed, she saved her files there. She's been using the same unit ever since we started that class. Then, one meeting her ----- was gone. We thought it was just transfered to the ----- beside me but, unfortunately, it wasn't. The unit beside mine had a major repair and my friend's files were all gone; including her project.

So, we approached JERK and told him what happened but, instead of helping my friend deal with what had happened, he lectured on us about how we should prepare back-up files.

I just rolled my eyes as he continued lecturing. My friend cried silently beside me and all I could do was try to cheer her up. Talk about major melt down! Eventually, the real deal of the class started as if nothing had happened earlier.

So, that's basically it.

What do you feel? Comment it and let's see how would i respond to that.

Does my rant seem immature? SO DON'T CARE if you think it's immature!! Why? That's because this is MY BLOG and the title says it all.

In the end, there's always the part where you reveal your blind items. So, want to know who JERK-A-SAURUS is? Nah, ore wa daisuki ja nai, demo one thing's for sure, the old school has died and started a new one and another took the crown and throne with him.

SENSEI HONTOU NI BAKA!!! HONTOU NI HONTOU NI BAKA!!! UNKO TABEMASU BAKA!!! DAME KYOUSHI!!!

And that ends today's blog entry. For comments, violent reactions, and suggestions, just comment this.

See y'all next time!
